The council was formed in August of 1994. At the time of our founding, Blessed Damien had not yet been beatified, so our original name was Father Damien of Molokai Council. The name Blessed Damien of Molokai was adopted in 2002.

The charter Grand Knight of our Council was Anthony Day. He served from the founding in August 1994 until June 1996.

Our second Grand Knight was Kevin Fitzpatrick, who served from July of 1996 until June of 1999.

Our third Grand Knight was Amante Parungao, who served from July of 1999 until June of 2002.

Our fourth Grand Knight was Joseph DiGioia, who served from July of 2000 until June of 2001.

Our fifth Grand Knight was Ronald Smith, who served from July 2001 until June of 2003.

Our sixth Grand Knight was Dr. Peter J. Pellittieri, who served from July 1, 2003 until June 30, 2004.

Our seventh and current Grand Knight is Angelito. His term began on July 1, 2004.
