Fall shifts our attention away from vacation and summer chores. Schools are opening, religious formation classes are beginning and numerous parish committees are swinging back into action. I would like to take this moment to thank you all for what you have done to help make our parish a vibrant faith community. Our faith community is growing, and so does the need for additional support for the great work of our parishes. Your presence and support are most appreciated. Together, we can accomplish much and meet the growing needs of our community.
As Catholics, we are taught at an early age to give thanks and be appreciative for the gifts God provides. As we grow and mature, we realize that our lives can truly be enriched when we share these gifts. Making a gift to this year’s Catholic Ministries Appeal (CMA) is a wonderful way to respond to Christ’s call to serve others. I am confident that your gift will help make this goal a reality.
Soon Bishop Clark will send a letter asking for our support of this year’s Appeal. Our generous response to the CMA will enable the continuation of the charitable, educational, and pastoral ministries serving our parishioners each and every day throughout the Diocese of Rochester.
The Appeal provides us with the opportunity to make a gift that helps those in need, and to say thank you to a loving God – who is never outdone in His generosity. I know that you will prayerfully consider Bishop Clark’s request.
Please accept my sincere gratitude for all that you have done to support St. Anne Parish and the Diocese of Rochester. Be assured that you and your family are in my prayers each day.
Sincerely in the Lord,
Fr. Peter Abas
